
Bio
Hannah March Sanders received their BFA at Tulane University and an MFA in printmaking from Louisiana State University. Hannah spent 12 years as a Professor in the Department of Art + Design at Southeast Missouri State University in a number of roles including directing the BA in Art acting as Area Head of Printmaking & Fibers, and coordinating Catapult Press–a letterpress that was part of an entrepreneurship center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Hannah is currently teaching online courses and workshops through places such as the Sequential Artists Workshop (S.A.W.) and through academic and community art institutions nationwide. They have been named the Grant Wood Fellow in Printmaking at the University of Iowa for the 2026-2027 year to work on their speculative graphic memoir. Hannah publishes a serial web comic entitled Bat Shit! about raising a service dog for their disability on their Substack:
In their free time, Hannah likes to worry about what they should be doing with their free time, work in their sketchbook, and go hiking. They also enjoy rainstorms, fountain pens, and the smell of books.
