“What Else?” International Print Exchange in France, Belgium, Italy and the United States

In 2023, American Artist Craig Burkhalter and French Artist Sylvie Veyrunes organized a print exchange with artists from the United States, France, Italy, and Belgium. The theme for the exchange was “What Else?,” and artists each created a print on the theme and shipped copies around the world.

Participants included organizers Craig Burkhalter and Sylvie Veyrunes as well as Marina Cerralvo, Marc Itier, Nicole Fraysse, Caroline Rochette, Sabine Cez, Oscar Gillespie, Thomas Heald, Tennile Shuster, Blake Sanders, and myself.

I proposed this collection of prints as an exhibition at the ARX Gallery at Southeast Missouri State University, and it was accepted and installed in April 2023. Blake Sanders and I installed the works for the exhibition, which was up for the entire summer of 2023.

The prints were also exhibited in the Mayor’s office in Montpilier, France in December 2024 thanks to Sylvie Veyrunes as part of a monthly invitation to local artists to display works.
