Prarieside Outpost Residency 10 Year Anniversary Group Exhibition at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center in Kansas City, MO

The artist and residency program Prairieside Outpost celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2024. Blake Sanders and I spent a week there in 2015 as artist in residence in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas. In honor of the residency’s anniversary, we have been invited to a group art exhibition at Leedy-Voulkos Art Center in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City, Missouri from September-November 2025.

The exhibition will be commemorated with a grant-funded printed catalogue thanks to the efforts of Laura Berman, Professor at Kansas City Art Institute and co-founder of Prarieside Outpost Residency (formerly known as Matfield Outpost) in Matfield Green, KS.

Hannah March Sanders received her BFA at Tulane University and an MFA in printmaking from Louisiana State University. Along with her husband, Blake, Hannah operates http://orangebarrelindustries.com/, an artist collaborative that organizes portfolio exchanges, exhibitions and other art events. She is currently the Coordinator of the BA in Art as well as Area Head of Printmaking, and a Professor of Art in the Department of Art + Design at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO.
